Organon Section 153 states that in searching for the specific homeopathic remedy, the more striking, singular, uncommon, and peculiar (characteristic) signs and symptoms of the case are chiefly and almost solely to be kept in view. Common symptoms expected in a disease carry minimal differentiating value; the patient's singular individual reactions reveal the true remedy.
Step-by-Step Clinical Disciplines
Filter out symptoms that merely confirm pathology (e.g. coughing in bronchitis, thirst in fever). These tell the diagnosis, but not the remedy.
